123File PDF Professional combines some of the functionality that you will find in both Adobe Reader and Acrobat to allow you to view your PDF files; to convert them into Word, Excel and various image file formats; to merge as many existing PDF files as needed into one; to edit the text and the layout of your PDFs, etc.

A well-structured and clear interface makes dealing with all this extensive functionality a much easier task.

All the different features available within 123File PDF Professional can be grouped into four different categories – PDF conversion, new PDF creation, PDF editing, and PDF viewing. Besides, both conversion and creation of PDF files can be performed in batch mode.

PDF Conversion supports various output file formats – Microsoft Word formats (namely, the DOC, TXT, and RTF), Microsoft Excel, and various image file formats (such as BMP, JPG, PCX, PNG, or TIFF) for either converting the pages of your PDF file into images or extracting the images embedded in it. When converting to a text-based format you can decide if the resulting file will faithfully reflect the original layout of the PDF file or if the text will be reflowed or arranged in a different way.

When it comes to creating a new PDF file, the program will let you choose any Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file or a set of files as source. Note that the batch conversion option will create as many PDFs as source files selected, which can then be arranged, merged, and combined using the “Merge PDF Files” feature.

Editing the content of a PDF file can be done in two different ways – either by editing the PDF file directly (just as you would do in Acrobat), or by editing the PDF file in word. The former is also available in the registered version of the program, while the latter involves a quick PDF-to-Word conversion, though faithfully maintaining the original layout.
